About This Settlement

Lands’ End agreed to a class action settlement to resolve claims that it failed to prevent a 2024 data breach that compromised sensitive consumer information.

The Lands’ End settlement benefits consumers whose private information was compromised in the December 2024 Lands’ End data breach.

The Lands’ End data breach reportedly compromised sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, passport information and medical data. Consumers quickly took legal action against the company, arguing that Lands’ End could have prevented the data breach with reasonable cybersecurity measures.

Lands’ End is a clothing retailer that sells apparel for men, women and children.

Lands’ End has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to resolve the data breach class action lawsuit.

Under the terms of the Lands’ End settlement, class members can receive a cash payment and credit monitoring.

Class members who experienced documented losses as a result of the data breach can receive up to $5,000 in compensation for out-of-pocket expenses, such as identity theft and fraud, credit-related fees, ID replacement costs and more. Class members who did not experience documented losses can receive a one-time estimated cash payment of $60.

All class members can receive two years of free credit monitoring through CyEx Financial Shield Complete. This service includes $1 million in financial fraud insurance and monitoring for fraud and identity theft, high-risk transaction monitoring and more.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Oct. 7, 2026.

The final approval hearing for the Lands’ End settlement is scheduled for Nov. 6, 2026.

To receive class action settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Oct. 22, 2026.

The class action settlement benefits all persons residing in the United States whose private information was compromised in the December 2024 Lands’ End data breach.
