About This Settlement

The FTC is sending a second round of checks to people who lost money to a prize scheme operated by Next-Gen and its related companies.

The FTC and the State of Missouri sued these companies for promoting fake sweepstakes and “game of skill” contests that promised cash prizes. Participants paid a fee but didn’t get the promised prizes. Many people paid the fee several times before realizing there was no prize.

The FTC first sent payments in July 2022, which resulted in more than $10.7 million in refunds. Because there is still money remaining in the fund, the FTC is sending 104,820 checks totaling more than $13.5 million to people who cashed their first check.

If you get a check, please cash it within 90 days.

You can find answers to common questions about refund payments on our FAQ page. If you have any other questions, please call the refund administrator at 1-833-721-2728.
