Mercurys Madness, now known as Mercurys Coffee Co., agreed to pay $450,000 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging its job postings in Washington failed to include required wage scales, salary ranges or general descriptions of benefits as mandated by state law.
Who are the class members?
Eligible class members must fit the following criteria:
They applied for a job opening with Mercurys Madness in Washington state.
They submitted an application between Jan. 1, 2023, and Aug. 10, 2026.
The job posting for the position did not disclose the wage scale or salary range and/or a general description of benefits and other compensation.
How much can class members get?
Cash payment: Eligible class members will receive an equal share of the net settlement fund. The estimated payment per class member is $73.31. After deducting attorneys’ fees, a service award for the class representative and administrative costs from the total settlement fund, the settlement administrator will determine the final payment amount based on the number of eligible class members.
Class members do not need to file a claim to receive their payment.
