About This Settlement
Canada Computers & Electronics Data Breach National Class Action
CONSUMER LAW GROUP has filed a Canadian class action against Canada Computers Inc. (doing business as Canada Computers & Electronics) for failing to protect their customers’ personal and private information, including names, email addresses, home addresses, phone numbers, credit card information, and other customer information.
Canada Computers & Electronics issued a press release in late January confirming that it became aware of a data breach incident involving unauthorized access to their system supporting their retail website, during which personal customer information, including credit card information was compromised.
As reported by several media sources, the Defendant’s website was compromised with a credit card skimmer, a type of malware that steals any information entered on the page and sends it to the attacker’s website. The online archive for Canada Computers’ website dated December 31, 2025 shows that the payment card skimmer was active on the site for at least three weeks, and consumers who bought anything from the Defendant’s website between December 8, 2025 and January 22, 2026 were likely affected.
Consumer Law Group believes action must be taken for all consumers whose personal and credit card information was compromised as part of the data breach.
If you or someone you know made purchases on Canada Computers and Electronics website from December 8, 2025 to January 22, 2026, please provide your contact information to our law firm using the below form.
