About This Settlement

Serviceaide agreed to a $1.8 million class action settlement to resolve claims that it failed to prevent a 2024 data breach that compromised sensitive patient information.

The Serviceaide settlement benefits individuals whose private information was compromised in the Serviceaide data breach that occurred between Sept. 19 and Nov. 5, 2024.

The Serviceaide data breach allegedly compromised sensitive patient information, such as Social Security numbers, medical information and insurance data. Plaintiffs in the data breach class action lawsuit claim Serviceaide failed to take reasonable steps to protect their information and prevent a data breach.

Serviceaide is an AI digital solutions provider that partners with companies such as Catholic Health, a New York healthcare system.

Serviceaide has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $1.8 million class action settlement to resolve these allegations.

Under the terms of the Serviceaide settlement, class members can receive a cash payment.

Class members who experienced documented losses as a result of the data breach can receive up to $5,000 in reimbursement for bank fees, credit monitoring expenses, professional fees, fraudulent charges and more.

Class members who did not experience documented losses as a result of the data breach can receive an alternate cash payment of around $50.

Payments may be adjusted on a pro rata basis depending on the number of claims filed with the settlement. If the settlement administrator determines a claim for documented losses is deficient, the claim may be converted to an alternate cash payment.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Aug. 17, 2026.

The final approval hearing for the Serviceaide data breach class action settlement is scheduled for Sept. 16, 2026.

To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Sept. 1, 2026.
