It is alleged that Apple violated the Consumer Protection Act, the Competition Act, and other applicable laws. In May 2026, Apple settled a $250 million class action in the United State with regards to its deceptive and misleading advertising and marketing of Apple iPhone 16, and the Apple Intelligence Artificial Intelligence features they were supposed to be equipped with at the time of being available for purchase.
